Extreme Christmas Makeover Brings Holiday Cheer and
Life-Changing Support to Three Deserving Families

On Wednesday, December 23, 2009 Yatooma’s Foundation For The Kids surprised three of the families served by the Foundation with an Extreme Christmas Makeover presented by Art Van Furniture and the extraordinary generosity of Mr. Art Van Elslander.

The Foundation’s Extreme Christmas Makeover provides families with especially devastating circumstances, who are experiencing their first Christmas after their loss of mom or dad, with a holiday that can be remembered with smiles, laughter and life-changing support.

The Cook, Schrandt and Jackson families were selected for the 2009 Extreme Christmas Makeover and, with the help of Mr. Van Elslander, Art Van Furniture and hundreds of supporters and volunteers who made this experience possible, these families’ lives have been forever touched.

These struggling, local families received much-needed beautiful furniture from Art Van Furniture and help with basic needs that included mortgage/rent payments, utility payments and groceries throughout Winter 2010. In addition, surviving parents and children received items from their wish lists that included warm winter coats and clothing, computers, electronics and a plethora of toys and games. Each family also received family togetherness experiences to enjoy dinners out and fun gatherings at local entertainment venues.
