Yatooma gala benefits kids

The seventh annual Champion for the Kids Gala and Golf Tournament was a two-day fundraiser benefitting Yatooma's Foundation for the Kids. Held at The Townsend Hotel and Orchard Lake Country Club, this year's event raised $260,000, which will help fund expenses of children who have lost one or both parents.

The charity was founded in memory of Manuel Yatooma, who was killed 19 years ago. More than 300 supporters donned '70s attire in keeping with the Sunday Night Fever Gala theme.
